AP REPORTING: "The National Credit Union Administration said it has taken over and put into conservatorship the two corporate credit unions, U.S. Central Federal Credit Union, based in Lenexa, Kan., and Western Corporate Federal Credit Union, in San Dimas, Calif. First Lady creating a vegetable garden at the White House .. but while the Obamas rightly proclaim the health value of planting your own food, why is Congress focused on passing the Food Modernization Safety Act, which according to the John Birch society that opposes the bill, could end up severely limiting the freedom people have to plant their own home gardens..?

Obama to Leno: My bowling is 'like the Special Olympics'

While the Special Okympics comment was a lame and tacky attempt at humor, perhaps the funnier inadvertent line came when Obama said he was stunned at the AIG bonuses...

Bye Mario, hello MadWorld.. Nintendo Wii launches violent video game

If you play MadWorld on Nintendo Wii, you can used spikes and execute people.. you can use chainsaws and kill them.. you can even used spiked clubs for something different and destroy.. All as though you were really doing it..

Violence gets the ultimate dose of realism with the Nintendo Wii's new MadWorld, a game that seems proud of being called the most violent video game ever..

The UK TELEGRAPH reporting on the game in more detail, including a challenge called 'human darts' sees players pick up Madworld citizens and hurl them onto giant spiked dartboard..

Sega made the game.. And they are happily calling MadWorld "the most violent video game in history"..

One review explains that MadWorld allows users to be creative when they kill..

But can you win the game? Even if you do, do you..?

Goodbye Mario and Duck Hunt.. you are nothing compared to now, baby.. Welcome to the 21st century. So long Fusajiro Yamauchi.. It's been fun.

GETTING BONUS FUROR.. FOR ALL THE WRONG REASONS

Misplaced outrage..

Congress, the White House, the Senate, and the media, all expressed their distain for the bonuses awarded to AIG employees .. Millions of dollars of bonuses are a drop in the bucket in the scheme of things, especially when you look at the fact that billions with a B were given to AIG since last year--but that is besides the point..

We need to blame someone.. And frankly, lawmakers will be quick to point blame especially when the traces of the current economic distress can be tracked straight back to them.

But tax them we will! Senator Schumer said that if the AIG employees don't give back their cash, he will take it! Schumer said yesterday that if the employees don't return the bonus money willingly, the government will do everything it can to get the money, including taxing almost all of it..

The bonus thing may be distasteful.. but is anyone else a little queasy about the government singling a citizen out for 100% taxation? They could theoretically do it to anyone.. right?

Perhaps after the 100% tax Senator Grassley will get his wish and the AIG employees that got the bonuses will commit suicide. Of course he said yesterday emphatically he is pro-life and doesn't want anyone to kill themselves.. but the rhetoric is even more unpleasing when it's from a group of people that voted for the bailouts.. And when it's from someone that allowed bonuses, like Senator Dodd, who now pretends he never introduced anything that did what is being done..

Congresspersons did said in the fall of 2008 that Henry Paulson said martial law would be declared if the Congress didn't approve last year's bailout--this is a fact, even though Sean Hannity cuts off callers that try to state it on his show. King Henry got his way and the bailout was passed.. then he changed what the money would be used for.. Those toxic assets became a little less threatening after the money was approved...

And just weeks ago, more money was given to AIG...

The bonus contracts that are the subject of controversy were agreed upon in April 2008... And Congress, the White House, and the Senate, all pretend now that they had no clue...

The outrage displayed is comical.. One Senator apparently wants a public execution while another wants all of their money.. And President Obama said he didn't know bonuses were in the mix until this month.. He's on Leno tonight, though, so the TV star will keep his Hollywood appeal.

The whole charade is getting tiring..

Who should we trust? Bankers out for profit or the government out for taxes? Maybe neither...

Karlie Pouliot Natasha Richardson was reported to be "fine at first" after she hit her head in a skiing accident ... But now doctors fear that she may have suffered the "talk and die" syndrome.. Liam Neeson is racing to her bedside...

The true danger in small town America: Blogs!? One Mayor in Maryland says so

A headline getting nationwide attention thanks to the Drudge Report and other news sources: "Salisbury mayor: Malicious blogs endangering city"

The Daily Record in Maryland (http://mddailyrecord.com/article.cfm?id=153345&type=Daily) reporting that Mayor Barrie Parsons Tilghman of Salisbury warned residents that the true danger to the city were bloggers!

Tilghman said in her address Thursday that over the last five years, the presence of a small group of suspicious, mean-spirited people focused on the negative has grown, endangering the city's vitality..

She went on to say that the city was under siege by bloggers..

Bloggers apparently are becoming a popular sect to blame for problems..

The population according to the most recent census of Salisbury Maryland is under 30,000 people.. Salisbury's median income is $38,000 while the state of Maryland is above $68,000.. The median house value is a hundred thousand below the state of Maryland.. As of December 2008, the Salisbury MD unemployment rate was 7.5%..

All of the problems of a city cannot be the blame of bloggers.. It's the bloggers that bring light to the problems that many in power refuse to see, or refuse to admit..

So much for all that... Obama secrecy after years of promises to the contrary

The Obama Administration came to office heralding open records and an open new form of government for the 21st century.. but a new decision by President Obama is making supporters raise eyebrows.. Wired is hitting hard against the President, even morphing a photo of George W. Bush into the new leader.. The reason: Wired says Obama is using the national security secrecy card to hide details of the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement ..

Tech users may need to pay specific attention.

The negotiations of this specific agreement have included the 27 member states of the European Union, Japan, South Korea, Canada, Mexico, Australia, Switzerland and New Zealand, according to reporting.

Leaked documents show a proposed complete ban and criminalization of peer-to-peer file sharing! Complete ban! Completely criminalizing the process!

The leaked documents of the proposed agreement would also allow iPods to be subject to broader searches and allow ISPs to monitor their customers' communications..

After eight years of frustrations at secrecy and attempts to use national security as a cover, will Obama supporters start to believe that the new Administration is beginning to look a lot like the previous?

Here's watchin' you! It's a brave new world, baby

Major media reporting: The United States Pentagon is planning a new form of surveillance .. a high altitude airship that will watch planes, sterwets below, and even people..

The Pentagon research arm's brainchild surveillance platform will stay in the skies above us all for up to 10 years.. It will provide constant watch over an area of choice, according to officials and reporting in the Guardian and other news outlets..

The airship will fly at 65,000 feet, or 12 miles, beyond the range of any handheld missile, and safe from most fighter planes. At that height, it would be nearly impossible to see, the Guardian reported.

Next time you see a UFO .. it's probably not alien at all.. But like an alien, it may be watching you..
