Hillary Clinton a victim of her own words--again. This time it wasn't sniper fire, but her talking about being a sniper with a duck in her sights. In lambasting Obama over his
comments that some voters in Pennsylvania cling to guns in anger, she mentioned that she shot at ducks and was taught to use a gun way back when in Scranton, PA.
But to some in media circles, her comments appeared to be in direct conflict with policy choices in the past, including supporting tougher gun control measures.
Reporters asked Clinton about it, but she said the
last time she went to church or fired a gun isn't relevant .. "We can answer that some other time," Clinton said at a press conference... "This is about what people feel is being said about them. I went to church on Easter. I mean, so?"
Supporting Clinton's candidacy appears to require a certain sense of imagination and creativity. Imagination over the past and creativity in pretending you're a friend of the type of voters you don't like. You just have to hope those voters dislike your opponent Obama more than you.
Then again, it could just be the liquor talking. Hey, it was a Saturday night..
