Saturday night's main events: Two debates, two parties. .One future of the nation..

And it's the night when Hillary Clinton got "angry"..

Let the rambling clip begin:

And she unravels.. And she slips. And slides. And Obama gets the momentum.

NEWSWEEK this week features Obama's face in heroic stance.

Hillary's machine is nervous...

A RENDEZVOUS WITH DESTINY? DOWN TO THE WIRE IN NEW HAMPSHIRE; NEW POLLS PUT ENERGIZED OBAMA OVER 90's RELIC HILLARY.. * * * POLL SHOWS RON PAUL GAINING BIG IN GRANITE STATE
The debates tonight will be nasty.. Hillary's delicate mission: Energize her own campaign, be the candidate of change, do not insult the youth or independents, but slam the candidate Obama .. I expect her focus will be on the fact he opposed harsh prison sentences for some criminals.. She will try to be the candidate of moderation. But the Obama train is flying down the tracks straight into the future.. The amazing story of Barack Obama.. Rasmussen site still down, or facing high traffic but TIME MAG blog breaks down the numbers The remarkable numbers show a majorly changing race. Note one thing, on the GOP side, Ron Paul has now become a strong third place, beating Iowa winner Huck/Norris, Giuliani, and Thompson.. Ron Paul has jumped 7 points even though he came in fifth place in Iowa! New Hampshire may surprise the world. This election is unconventional. Excitement on two sides today.. Independents living free or dying.

Ron Paul wins New Hampshire. Barack Obama wins New Hampshire. I could live with that choice for November in 2008. The experts would tell me it won't happen. Obama may stand a chance but Ron Paul would not.. The interesting thing to keep in mind, though: New Hampshire is filled with free and independent minds. Independents could vote in either primary. McCain trounced Bush in 2000 there.. Obama gets the youth vote and independents. Republicans fed up with Bush and war go with Ron Paul's libertarian no tax message.. Not saying it will happen but just nice if it did.

Why is Wyoming ignored?

There could be a few reasons the media is not paying attention to the Cowboy state today.. Results of the Republican Wyoming caucus should be prepared by about 3pm today. Few candidates visited the state.. Mitt Romney sent his wife. Surprised the candidates didn't send their pets as honorary campaign captains.. But is the ignorance because the real momentum and big story on the Democrats? The potential fall of the invisible and inevitable Hillary? Or is it because Ron Paul may do well? There were few articles after the Iowa caucus concerning Paul's fifth place finish. He almost finished fourth. And almost third. The candidates besides Huck and Mitt were pretty close together. Ron Paul could do well in Wyoming. The media seemingly have been out to destroy the fringe candidates, or those they consider the fringe. They were forced to pay attention to Ron Paul after his record breaking fundraising.. And something just sneaks into my mind. Is Wyoming not going to matter if Ron Paul wins? There could be potential road blocks to a Paul victory with the process in Wyoming, however. And then on to New Hampshire.. Remember, my personal hope was that we'd get a choice between Ron Paul and Barack Obama in the general election. I knew it was improbable. But it would be an amazing choice. Two fresh ideas.. two candidates of change and true beliefs. Two candidates against the use of torture, against overspending our military power. The fear of the Schmuckraker today is that we end up in November 08 with the typical two: McCain vs Hillary.

Speech of the week--and maybe best in a long time

BRITNEY MANIA HITS MEDIA AGAIN

Another news day.. Another day of Britney Spears taking over front pages. Another day of a tragic story continuing to unfold.

Media reports: Britney Spears on suicide watch after she loses the right to see her children..

AP photo

WYOMING: SCHMUCKRAKER CARES! You may think you're opinion doesn't matter, Wyoming Republicans. But the Schmuckraker has taken note of what others in the media didn't. Sure, New Hampshire is coming up .. sure, there are presidential debates tomorrow night.. and of course, Britney Spears has a mental breakdown today. But your caucus is tomorrow! It's showtime Cowboy state! News story jokes that only David Letterman fans may know that Wyoming Republicans should have their winner by 3pm tomorrow.. The only candidates that visited Wyoming: Mitt Romney, Fred Thompson, Duncan Hunter and Ron Paul. Perhaps the other candidates, like most Americans and media, have no clue Republicans are going to caucus tomorrow? Maybe.

Campaign update: Random rakings

Nation still stunned that a guy named Mike Huckabee was able to win a caucus.. National attention of Obama's victory raising excitement in New Hampshire.. Historical possibilities of the first African-American president--and maybe the possibility of his candidacy bringing out the youth vote.. A few rakings: Must read column from Peggy Noonan.. Maybe it's not the year of the net? Wired candidate Ron Paul finishes fifth in Iowa.. Now that Obama seems to have tapped into a youth vote, Hillary tries the same.. Michigan strategy already in play.. ...Oh, and yes, there is a Wyoming caucus..

Theater counts

First weekend of 2008.. it seems it's the typical weekend for a PG-13 rated horror flick to come out.

SOME NEW YEARS DAY RANDOM RAKINGS-- AND THE WEREWOLF BOY ON THE LOOSE

Pork.. sauerkraut.. and random rakings. It's a day off. It's going to be a long year. And remember, the candidates trolling the nation have an extra day to annoy us, it's a leap year. According to the AP, millions of $40 government coupons will be available to help low-tech television owners buy special converter boxes for older TVs that might not work after the switch to digital broadcasting. Remember, it's a mandate that everyone goes over to these digital TVs.. You can't even relax with TV anymore! Let the conspiracy theorists theorize...... "Surge" and "Give me the old days" are both now no-nos.. Men try to trace gun on their bodies for tattoo.. shoot themselves.. One road never traveled: Vandals break into Robert Frost's home in Vermont, destroy items, set fire to furniture.. Police say it was a drinking party.. ...Bad.. good? Either way, just an idea (for now): Spy planes to recharge by clinging to power lines!!! On the day Bhutto was killed: She planned to report she had evidence that the elections were going to be fixed.. Forget the water and read in the dark: Common medical myths exposed.. Modern TV: No memorable theme songs.. Russian police say boy who lived with pack of wolves and snarls and bites escaped! They call him the "werewolf boy"..The boy is about 10, and has "very strong and sharp teeth, which could really endanger someone if he bites".. Yet another worry in 2008: The werewolf boy could be anywhere.... PHOTO ABOVE: AP Photo/Evan Vucci

    A SUPERMODEL AND A SARKOZY

Daily Mail photo French President Nicolas Sarkozy shows off his supermodel girlfriend Carla Bruni for world photographers and media. And to the ancient Egyptians. Embracing at the pyramids. In Russia, women swoon over Vladmir Putin shirtless.. in France, men get jealous of their leader because of these photos.. but in America we're still concerned over Hollywood stars. What do these other countries know that we don't? We have not merged our REAL news and gossip like other countries. We have work to do.

    IT'S 2008.. We feared this

The politics will get mean. CNN reporting about Ron Paul supporters' anger over their candidate not being in debates.. I know about these emails, I've been getting a ton of them from supporters..filling me in on their plans to boycott the FOX network and any other product that FOX is involved with.. And NOW CNN reporting that ABC may not include Paul, unless of course the dark horse of the Republican party does well in Iowa.. At least one FOX NEWS employee would also be angry. In the mean time, Obama and Huckabee are leading their rivals in Iowa... Mike Huckabee was seen both playing his guitar and getting shaved by a barber in Iowa this weekend. Not to mention that giant yellow coat we have seen him in lately. Should a president be this weird? In between Fred Thompson not wanting to be president, he has been talking to people about something. Ron Paul has been enjoying his media attention but most likely angry over his non-inclusion in debates.. And more and more, Obama looks like a president. Oh.. but this family is still around. And amongst all of the news of the other folks, don't count out John Edwards, who still may have a chance to win in Iowa..

The most intriguing part of this coming election year is the consistent and constant worry about electronic voting machines. I know myself. When I click my fingers and "cast my vote" and give me little election card back to the little old lady that really doesn't understand anything since they got rid of pencils, is my vote really being counted? changed? thrown out? clicked away? States are beginning to worry about the same thing, according to the AP. The first sentence of the AP story isn't promising: Several states have found "critical flaws" in electronic voting machines.. President Harrison may have loved the electronic machines. The movie MAN OF THE YEAR should never happen. This AP story makes it seem possible. Ron Paul supporters.. it should make you think.

WHAT WE MISSED: A few random rakings

I see people are reading my year in review.. I got a few emails, too, and a call from a friend who completely disagrees with me saying that the health care industry needs to be the schmuck of the year. Nonetheless.. Comment if you do disagree. I'm up for a good argument, remember it's my personal opinions, not gospel. If I would Mike Huckabee perhaps it would be gospel.. A few random rakings from around the world: Snowstorm coming to Northeast tonight, not major, Henry Margusity has some information on it, and he even posted a joke snowmap that I made and emailed him of what I was hoping for..Interesting he never mentioned it was a joke? The ultimate tip: Man leaves $50,000 and a car to waitress.. But.. dogs get more than a waitress: $800,000 in inheritance! Benazir Bhutto's 19-year-old chosen to succeed her.. .. An image of an assassin in a crowd.. United States grapples with Pakistan crisis.. David Letterman makes deal with striking writers to return to TV.. Hannah Shamtanna: HANNAH MONTANNA contest winner that wrote her "daddy died this year in Iraq" was a fake! FBI is installing digital billboards in major cities that will feature area's most wanted fugitives.. Happy Kwanzaa

    Sweet 16-0

    ** PERFECT **
Last night, history was seen in TV sets across the world: The Patriots went perfect, they now how a place in history with their 16-0 record..

High praise for Tom Brady. The regular season for the Patriots was anything but regular ..

I say, I say, dat der election der will not devestate me, see

Fred Thompson will not be upset if he loses the election.. or the primaries, or anything. It's fine with him. In one way, it makes you like the guy more: He's maybe just normal. If he loses no skin off his back. On the other hand, it goes to verify my very early point this year: He didn't even want to run! Thompson said: "I'm not particularly interested in running for president. I don't know if you have a desire to be president. I am not consumed by personal ambition. I'm offering myself up." I say, I say.. Foxhorn Leghorn: A man of reason?
