Some Saturday night random videos

The world of You Tube providing the entertainment for this evening..

Weird photo op

AFP PHOTO
It was a serious day at the "Western White House" as Pakistan and other world hotspots were discussed between German Chancellor Angela Merkel and President Bush .. but the images of Bush driving Ms. Merkel to the press breifing was strange..

However most will be happy to see that both passengers are secure in their seat belts..

More images..

"Why don't you shut up"

Decorum goes down the toilet today as Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez calls King Juan Carlos I of Spain a "fascist".. moments later, the King told Chavez "Why don't you shut up?"..

MSNBC steals my thunder

I was working on a site redesign for a few days now--thought about it for a few weeks. I don't frankly think that I matter that much but perhaps you who read this may agree with me that this site needed a change. Hopefully the new look won't annoy you as much as the last one did--or at least I perceive it as being annoying. Nonetheless, the same day as my redesign hits the net, MSNBC also unveiled their brand spankin' new look .. I can only say this because I'm an HTML and FTPing amateur.. MSNBC's site is pretty lame. Got to actually say their old look was a lot better for them. Why change? And while we are purusing Archive.org, here is a look at my 21nickels, my Horror-Report, my former official Schmuckraker .com site.. and now, you see the new look. Enjoy, or comment that you hate it. Whichever. It's here. And there.

First flurries

Even though I still think it's going to be an incredibly warm winter, seeing the first small tiny snowfall gracing the trees that still have leaves on them was a beautiful and hopeful sign for snowlovers..

More on Chinese products...

I went toothbrush shopping the other day.. After pratrolling the labels, I ended up deciding on a toothbrush made in Mexico....

I suppose toothbrushes are too difficult to be made in America. It's that bristle technology.. Completely impossible to master...

What else has to be recalled under we all start checking our labels--then again, maybe it won't matter soon. After all, when the government starts allowing cloned products to be sold without labels marking it as chemically cloned meat, it may be close to pointless to even try to find out where our food comes from. And our toys. And paint.

November 10, 1975

It was the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald in Lake Superior..

Dreaming of a toxic Christmas

Enough is enough... or is it?

Have people had enough?

Cheap toys from China being made not only with high levels of lead and mercury, but now a chemical that forms a date rape drug inside a child when digested!

Check your labels before you buy. Give cash for Christmas......

State Department comments on Pakistan State of Emergency

..The United States government is now closely watching the developments from Pakistan..

The AFP reports:
"The United States said Saturday it was "deeply disturbed" by Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf's declaration of a state of emergency and urged Musharraf to stick to his commitment to step down as army chief and hold elections by January.
