I admit it.. I had a kid-like sense of euphoria for a week now. Ever since Accu Weather started hinting at a Valentine's snowstorm for this week, I was anticipating the first--and maybe only--snowstorm that will hit the Northeast this year. I remembered that feeling as a kid watching school close one by one.. I remember that perfect boredom.. stuck in the house but content with the weather.. Of course as an adult, things have changed immensely. I drive now. Work now. Things are very different..
But for just a fleeting moment, the snow brings to life a youthful joy and panic. So here's to the snowstorm.. and to your Valentine. Raise a glass and stay inside.
And maybe take a long walk in the woods with the snow coming down..
