 Back when this site was the HORROR-REPORT, we had a series of stories dubbed the "Crazy Romanian" stories...We were up to nearly 54 in that category...and we begin again today: Crazy Romanian story #1: A priest is unrepentent about his crucifixion of a nun!
Correct, dear Schmuckrakers, the priest actually never said sorry, he said she was possessed by evil, and he even held her funeral services!
Sister Cornici was found dead on Wednesday, gagged and chained to a cross, after fellow nuns called an ambulance, according to police...According to the AFP news service, her coffin entered the church of the monastery Saturday with no church bells sounding...the news service also reports that this occured while nuns cast distrustful glances at the strangers, including them...
Crazy Romanian #1: Father Daniel, takin' care of business...

Oh this little ring??
It finally happened! Hours after the dating began (I mock) Tom Cruise has proposed to Katie Holmes...atop the Eiffel Tower! The romantic moment wasn't captured by hundreds of cameras as the rest of the relationship was, though, but the best guess this Schmuck raker can make is that Katie and Tom will be flinging their fingers around until all the world is blinded by their rings...

Before anything else is said or done, I must report that I have seen BATMAN BEGINS; anything you've heard about this movie is wrong. The critics have been kind. They have misrepsetented the film, though, in their reviews...For BATMAN is even better than any critic has said...
This movie was an epiphany for me...a religious experience such as one I had during the PASSION OF THE CHRIST...
BATMAN has been one of the few superheros I ever looked up to as a child, and one of the few I was ever really interested in...the original BATMAN film in 1989 changed my life...the rest of the movie went downhill from there.
This film, though, has now come along and completely laid to rest any fear I had it would not be true to the BATMAN legend. This movie deals with unrealistic events and makes them real...it shows how a hero, alone, can stand up to an entire island of corruption or terror...how someone with the moral fortitude can strike fear in the hearts of criminals and place courage in the lives of children who have abusive parents, or who are poor beyond belief, or who haven't seen happiness, ever.
This film blew me mind...The Bat sign isn't great...it's clumsy...BATMAN himself shows he has a lot of learning to do--but he adapts quick. Much better than STAR WARS III and possibly thus far the best film of 2005, BATMAN BEGINS is a must see of this summer...it's not just a summer blockbuster with no feeling and just lots of action, but instead has that action along with a story, emotion, pain, sorry, agony, and in the end, redemption... I think I plan on seeing this film maybe, oh, just a few more times...

More information from the Downing Street memos have been leaked to British media...
American media still slow to report /// Tony Blair held with his top officials on July 23, 2002 of how American military action seemed to be inevitable.

More Schmuckery taking place this week...
* * RALPH NADER: RUNNER-UP SCHMUCK OF THE WEEK * *
Ralph Nader utters the 'n word' at gathering! That's right, former Green Party and then no party presidential candidate Ralph Nader, still in the same suit since early 1972, was speaking Wednesday night at a Washington fund-raiser to retire the debt from his 2004 presidential campaign and complained of how the Democratic party tried to keep him off the ballot in several southern states...Nader, said, and this quote directly from him, "I felt like a ni**er."
Schmuckery in the highest degree from a 70-year-old possibly losing his common sense if not his mind completely...
