Newspapers across Indonesia, not to mention the internet, is raging with rumors that Bush tested nukes off the coast of Asia, and caused the deadly natural disaster...Others are talking of plans to Christianize the predominantly Muslim region...

Other bizzarre myths are running rampant in a world that already doubts the genorosity of the USA...

One blog I frequent, called Democratic Underground, had a quote from a message board poster saying, "Since we know that the atmosphere has become contaminated by all the atomic testing, space stuff, electronic stuff, earth pollutants, etc., is it logical to wonder if: Perhaps the 'bones' of our earth where this earthquake spawned have also been affected"...

Some in Mosques across the region are also preaching to the people that homosexuality among Muslims is why they were 'punished' for the quake and tsunami...

Of course, disasters, deaths of politicians, and wars, have created so many theories of 'Whodunit' in the past few decades due to the increasing ease of technology to spread misinformation and rumor that the latest theories should come as no surprise.....Even the events of September 11, 2001, have numerous inspired numerous anti-government conspiracy theorists to say the government knew the events would happen...

And now, even in the 21st century, natural global disasters, earthly in all ways, can still have enough power to produce fear and rumor and anger...
